It’s a Christmas Feast at Sheraton on the Park.
There’s a whole, delicious month of eating in July as The Sheraton on the Park, Sydney launches it’s first “Christmas in July”.
While the generous and very popular fresh seafood buffet still greets you at the entrance, it’s the hearty, yuletide favourites that will warm you during Sydney’s cold winter nights. Noodlies, Sydney food blog comes early on a Monday evening to gawk at the jaw dropping Christmas turkey – this bird is huge and looks even better under the warm lights at the roast counter. I’m lucky enough to get the first cut of both turkey and honey glazed ham.

The first slices of the ham and turkey, it’s like all my Christmases have come at once. And I can have as many slices as I want to! They team up beautifully with a choice of traditional roast vegetables in dreamy maple glaze; pumpkin, beetroot, carrot and sweet potato that melt in the mouth.
But in this wonderland of feasting, I pace myself. The dessert bar is my obsession whenever we’re at Feast.
Of course, I can’t stay away from the seafood buffet, Sydney oysters, blue swimmer crabs and uber-fresh prawns that leaves you with that heavenly taste of the sea. Desmond Carneiro, executive sous chef at Sheraton on the Park, Sydney talks to noodlies about their popular seafood buffet below.
But the dessert. What ever you do, leave room for dessert.
Rich black forest cake is just delicious – being the first to also grab a slice just makes it all even more decadent.
Though it’s hard to resist the five spice festive sweet bread (above left) and Stollen mince pies (above right). Though I have to admit, the golden, silky crème brûlée hit the spot on the night.
And… as if it hasn’t been a lovely evening already, the folks at Feast get wind that it’s my birthday, so noodlies gets another sweet treat. BOOM!

Christmas in July buffet start at $75 per person for lunch, served daily from 12:00 to 2:30pm, and AUD$85 per person for dinner, daily from 6:00 to 10:30pm.
