SG50 celebrated in Sydney.
Singapore’s 50th birthday is celebrated in Sydney, at the Shangri-la Hotel.
Noodlies, Sydney food blog was lucky to join the lovely folks at the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) to celebrate SG50 at Cafe Mix in the Shangri-La Hotel, Sydney. The event was hosted by distinguished STB VIPs; Mr Lionel Yeo, Chief Executive, Mr John Gregory Conceicao, Executive Director Oceania, Ms Sharon Lam, Area Director Oceania and the Sydney STB team.
Singapore Food Week at the Shangri-La Hotel, Sydney was all about showcasing all your favourite Singapore food. In addition to the fresh and colourful seafood which Cafe Mix is known for, guest chef, Chia Jue Xian from the Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore treated diners to some mouthwatering Singapore delights.
The satay chicken was particularly popular. It didn’t take long for the skewers to disappear.
On a chilli Sydney winter’s afternoon, the hearty beef rendang disappeared quickly also.
And it wouldn’t be delicious Singaporean food without seafood or curry. The assam fish curry combined both favourites.
Over by the corner was a special Singaporean dessert bar. Noodlies, Sydney food blog made sure we saved room for desserts! The pandan pancake filled with sweet coconut was to-die-for.
Singapore Food Week is for a limited time only. Don’t miss out on these delicious treats.
