Tan Viet Noodle House is a popular local egg noodle eatery in Cabramatta. Their specialty is egg noodle soup with crispy chicken on the side. The chicken skin is super crispy while the flesh is amazingly. tender… how do they do it?
After all these years, it’s still one of the best cabramatta restaurants.
Walter had his usual favourite, and the other specialty of Tan Viet – hu tieu bo kho, which is a caserole-like dish with large flat rice noodles, generously topped basil leaves.

Went to Tan Viet not too long ago and I feel their standards are slipping. Not sure what it is, I think it’s to do with egg noodles – they tasted rather interesting. The chickens are still delicious.
However, I’m finding the prices to be quite steep now too. I remember when it use to cost $9 – now it’s creepy up to $12. While they’re charging containers at 50 cents, I’m glad the tea is still for free.
