Noodlies invades your lounge room
Seven seconds of fame for noodlies, Sydney food blog
SBS shot this commercial to promote Feast magazine, one of the best food magazines in Australia. Of course, I’d say that because I contribute to it and I’m in this 30-second commercial. For me Feast is special because it’s more than the culturally diverse food which we all love, it goes much deeper to tell the fascinating story of the hard working Australians, many of whom are migrants and refugees. I love these gregarious fighters who make Australia such a shining example of multicultural success.
Noodlies is very excited to be in such illustrious company in this TV commercial: Shane Delia, Guy Grossi and Amy Chanta.
Oh, and in case you didn’t know it, the set up and filming took about 3 hours for my seven, yes, literally seven seconds of fame. There was set up, make up and me, ahem, making delicious pork rolls and Vietnamese fresh rolls.
The TVC will air on SBS and Channel 7 during July.
Many, many thanks to the lovely husband and wife team at Banh Mi k in Capitol Square for hosting us.
The ad is great! I really loved seeing you on the tely. Congrats!!
Feast is pretty much the only food magazine I collect consistently precisely because of those reasons you listed!
Nice one Thang, you’re a star! Literally!
Haha, Lauren, hardly! Although it was nice to see “food writer, blogger” as my bio
