Banh Cam – Orange Cake |
If I had to pick a favourite, this would have to be close to being it! There are several versions of banh cam as well, this one is round and flat and covered in a sugar glaze. The other version is round, like well, like an organge, but it doesn’t have the glaze. The filling is another ubiquitous ingredient; soya been paste – the other common one seems to be coconut milk.
Other Vietnamese desserts:
Banh Chuoi – banana cake
Xoi – sticky rice dessert
I like the Banh Cam in the shape of a donut. =D
Yep that's yet another type of banh cam.. this time with no filling… it's delicious too
These remind me of Vietnam and being around my grandma's house where kids would come around to the front of the house and sell these to us. I love how the sticky toffee gets stuck to your teeth when you eat it 🙂
This is another kind of banh cam (or banh ran in the north). Love all of them!
Hey Phuoc, the ones in VN are even nicer I reckon.. and I do love it how they do stick to your teeth!
Hey Anh, you learn something new.. did nto know they are also called banh ran.. interesting
you tricked me! I thought I was getting the recipe =p. I heart vietnamese desserts!
