Nothing was opened near our hotel because we’re down the CBD end of Collins Street. The nearest we could find was Bambola Cafe in Little Collins Street. It was run by an elderly Chinese man, doing a roaring trade at 8am because well, there was just no competition.
The vegetarian and bocconcini chese omelette was passable, but very slow… much better with extra salt and pepper.
Walter’s baked beans on toast was much faster to table and by his account, quite successful.
