Pepper Lunch is a Japanese chain offering fast, tasty food with the unique twist of a dyi cook at your table experience.
According to Pepper Lunch, the secret is their “patented iron plate” that heats up to 260C in 70 seconds and remain hot, around 80C, for more than 20 minutes allowing you to cook your meat at the table and the food remains tender, juicy and stays warm for longer.
Walter had the chicken curry which, typical Japanese style was sweet though still very delicious.
I had the beef and chicken rice, the chicken was marinated and I think partially cooked, while the beef was rare, but cooked quickly on the stone plate. It’s true the beef did taste juicier and more tender. Just make sure you don’t touch the plate and stir quickly.
Our meals came out pretty quickly too, it really is fast, hearty food.
I like Pepper Lunch for being on the go when I have studies, they’re pretty fast and easy to eat.
Love this place – it’s quick, delicious and reasonably priced. Love the salmon and beef rice on the menu – can’t wait to try the others next time I go in here…which will probably be tomorrow.
