The name is long and arguably tossy, but there’s no doubting the pastry, chocolates and gelato are very good. And they’re stunningly presented, individual delights spot-lit just like precious jewels.
I’m normally not a fan of macaroons (what? a food blogger who doesn’t faint over macaroons? wash your mouth!) but Walter convinced me to try some with coffee. And of course, it was in that premium food court, Level 5, Westfield Sydney.
Despite my reservations, they were very good, that hard soft shell and the gooey flavoured centres were quite more-ish. And of course, you can’t have macaroons without the fancy flavours. My favourite was the strawberry shortcake, enough strawberry without it smelling like cheap scent. Salted caramel was for me, very Asian, we often added salt to food to enhance sweetness. The Pavlova flavour should have been a favourite just because it made sense with macaroon texture, but for me, it was neither here or there, I could taste the sugar but, sadly not much else.
