Ms G’s is generating a real buzz around Sydney. noodlies dispatched contributor, KLui to report on Dan Hong’s latest funky, culinary adventure. Here’s her report…
I was so lucky to catch March into Merivale. I’ve heard so much about Ms G’s, the awesome sealed cocktails and its heady Asian fusion cuisine. And it was busy the night we went, due to its popularity, I “waited” at the bar for over 30 min, the cocktails did seem to make time go by a lot quicker.
I loooove their innovative Asian inspired cocktail list! Go the chinoise, oriental funk!
- Pina ‘pearl’ colada – the green sago pearls glow in the dark
- Tango Jack – rum, fernet brance, jack fruit, apricot, apple juice
noodlies sneak peak: look at all these dedicated chefs in a busy kitchen!
And… here’s the mastermind behind the gorgeous food, Dan Hong, in a blur! I was suprised to see him in the kitchen, making sure all the dishes looked good before they came out of the kitchen! Thumbs up, Dan my man!

Sounds like another fan is born. I want to go back and try all of the things we missed the first time round. I do wish they'd turn their lighting up tho – I totally struggled with my photos & dark lighting. Next trip will be for lunch me thinks.
Vietnamese steak tartare sounds extremely interesting, I'll be trying it when I get there.
I saw Matt Preston & family last night at Sake 🙂
Did you say glow in the dark pearl?! Don't know what it is about Asians and our love for floaties in our drinks i.e pearl, mini pearl, aloe vera jelly, etc….
haven't heard too many negatives so far MissPiggy & lateral eating!
Hey Tina… isn't it funny I never think of any of them as having a family, so used to seeing them all together on masterchef!
Hey Adrian.. and who'd thought coconut seeds and lotus seeds?!

Hey Dolly… I can and can't imagine either.. I'll get Ms KLui to elaborate!
