I did a food photography course presented by Billy, the fantastically gifted atablefortwo food blogger.
Double plus, it was held at MUMU Grill in Crows Nest and included 8 course lunch, which of course, became the subject of our photography.
Have to say, the majority who attended had a dslr cameras and if they weren’t all so nice, I would have been more intimidated showing up with my digital automatic.
Learned heaps, including white balance, metering and a few tips and tricks to touch up that photo.
Hopefully, the pic above of the grilled chorizo with eggplant relish demonstrates I’ve learnt something! Gosh, there’s alot more effort to get that money shot, even with the humble automatic!
And of course, now I’m in the market for a digital slr!
Oh yummy! That shot looks so mouth-watering. I'm going next week so it's good to know that you enjoyed yourself and learnt something. I can't wait!
You will love it Phuoc. It was fairly informal and I reckon Billy will get into the grove even more next week. Be prepared, we didn't finish until 3pm so don't make plans immediately after.
PS food was great too!
That's fine. I'm looking forward to all the yummy food and to learn a thing or two 🙂
Wow, quick work with putting up the photos. Good work with the shots 🙂
Feel free to let me know if you're after any further advice with regards to getting your hands on that DSLR.
Thanks Simon for your company and your advice too. I am looking at a dslr, very keen to get one now. Will let you know if I need help (knowing me that's a yes). Thang
