Walk in my shoes for a week.

On the way home from work tonight, for some reason I looked up. I’m glad I did because I saw a completely different view. So that’s what Canley Vale train station (below) looks like that at 7pm! Usually, I’m rushing home from the station, head down or lost in my own thoughts.

Today, looking up, I was struck at how pretty it was, this thing that’s such an integral part of my life.

So I guess it might be the same for you, dear readers. You’ve probably seen me through a pork roll filter!

While I love food, there’s a different side to me.

Yes, a food blogger, but also a marketer, social media addict, partner, coach, pet lover, proud westie, tech tragic and lots, lots more.

For the next 7 days I’ll be projecting a different side of me via this post – a photo  (or two) each day will be posted here. From 7 January at 7pm, I’m inviting you to walk in my shoes for 7 days #walkinmyshoes.

Won’t you join me?

Day 2: Jetts, St Leonards, Thursday, 8 January, 2.30pm

Yep, the new year’s resolution to keep fit. I’ve joined Jetts near work, it’s a brand new gym with plenty of natural light. At the moment it’s mercifully quiet, but I go at 2.30pm just in case.

Day 3: Buffalo (Hai Au Restaurant, Canley Vale), Friday, 9 January, 2015, 6.30pm

It’s become their trademark – a Vietnamese buffalo greets diners.

Day 4: The ladies of Cabramatta, Saturday, 10 January, 2015, 2pm

The industrious ladies of Cabramatta who brazenly sell their produce or home cooking. I think they add colour and life to Cabra, the council thinks differently, you know health and safety and other worthy considerations.

Each weekend the ladies are out in force. They make me smile.

Day 5: Dragon fruit, Cabramatta, Sunday, 11 January, 2015, 9am

The winning thing with living in Cabramatta is that we can bring exotic gifts like dragon fruit to dinner parties.

Day 6: Weibo and Mini, Monday, 12 January 2015, 5pm

Not every day you get to develop the weibo strategy and community development for Mini Australia. This is Mini Australia’s first weibo tweet.

Day 7: Self improvement, Tuesday, 13 January 2015, 7pm

Cabramatta to St Leonards is my daily commute. It takes around an hour and ten minutes door-to-door. While the trains get a bad wrap, I’m a fan of it – I can sleep, surf the web or improve myself with books like Jay Abraham’s Getting everything you can out of all you’ve got.

What a great way to end my 7 days of #walkinmyshoes?!
