Note: there’s an updated listing here.

Top food blogs in Sydney, Melbourne, ACT and Tasmania combined.

July last year, noodlies, Sydney food blog began a humble project to rank the top 30 Sydney food blogs by estimated traffic. By March this year, the number of Sydney food blogs on the list ballooned to 347 delicious blogs.

By 31 March, another 246 Melbourne food blogs were added with the help of Ed from Tomato. For the first time, there was a ranking system which covered Sydney and Melbourne food blogs, taking the new total to 593.

NOODLIES TOP AUSTRALIAN FOOD BLOGS RANKING

Today, that list has grown to 645 with the addition of two new Sydney blogs and the addition of ACT (thanks to Lizzy from Bizzy Lizzy’s Good Things) and Tasmanian food blogs, taking us even closer to a national ranking system. I intend to, depending on resources, increase coverage to other cities and states each quarter.

For now, please enjoy reading these amazing 645 Australian based food blogs (knowing it will grow each quarter)!

TABLE LEGEND & THINGS TO NOTE

  • Rank column is the current rank. The lower the rank, the higher the estimated traffic.
  • Blog is the food blog name, click to read that blog.
  • Alexa Rank is a website ranking system developed by Alexa, a subsidiary of US giant, Amazon. Alexa’s traffic estimates are based on data from their global traffic panel, which includes millions of internet users using one of over 25,000 different browser extensions. Please note it’s an estimation of blog traffic and rank, I’m sure even Amazon would concede this.
  • Loc is the primary location of the blog.

A FINAL NOTE IN RELATION TO BLOGS WITHOUT A RANK

There are a few reasons why some blogs don’t have a rank:

  • New blogs
  • Low traffic

NEXT UPDATE

Noodlies intends to publish updates quarterly: at the end of March, June, September, December.

I intend to add new cities to the list each quarter. Remaining cities are Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth.

FEEDBACK

  • If your food blog is Sydney, Melbourne, ACT or Tasmanian-based and not listed above, please leave a comment and I’ll add your blog for the next round. Leaving a comment helps me track your request, please don’t email as it gets lost in the volume I get each day.
  • Do you find this list and the ranking useful?
  • Any other suggestions?

For now, happy reading!
